Just finished this short read and it was great. I got lost in the Brazilian rain forest with Vicky and Jose and enjoyed the legend of Mirana. It was sweet and light-hearted with well developed characters. I liked Vicky's strong sense of Independence and her morals. So nice to read a story with characters with values to be proud of .Product details

As the title infers, Reflecting Spirit is two stories in one the contemporary American character's story alternates in every other chapter with the the Brazilian mythological character's story. The real and mythological stories reflect one another, and eventually merge in the romantic ending, which the author makes believable. A lot of creativity went into the creation and blending of the two stories, which is set primarily in and around Salvador, Brazil. This is a delightful summer read, light hearted, romantic, and satisfying.
